Basic Sewing - Level One
8.0 Hours of Instruction - the use of a sewing machine is included in the cost.
Have you always wanted to learn to sew but feel intimidated? Leona's Sewing Studio
can help you unlock all the fear and intimidation of learning to sew in our Basic 101 class.
We will learn the basics of the sewing machine, how to read a pattern,
body measurements and garment construction.
Students will leave the course with sewing tips and the resources to continue the skill.

Basic Sewing - Level Two
8.0 Hours of Instruction - the use of a sewing machine is included in the cost.
Want to continue improving your sewing skills? Register for our Level Two session
and get help making more sewn items. The session will extend your basic skills
by learning to set in sleeves, work with collars and interfacing, etc.
Please cut out the garment before class to get the maximum from the session.
**Pre-requisite : Basic Sewing Level One
Projects will be announced.

Basic Quilting 101
8.0 Hours of Instruction - Learn the basics of quilting.
Learn quilting terminology, the correct way to use quilting tools,
sewing machine stitch to “piece” together the quilt and hand
sewing techniques for “tacking “the quilt.
Yes, you can create your own quilt in the class lesson!
**Pre-requisite : Basic Sewing Level One

Hone in on the art of garment construction in our specialized sessions.
The end results of your work will be beautiful.
* Create your own face masks for friends, family and our First Responder community in our
"How To Make A Face Mask" session.
* Develop the proper Layout techniques for working with complex fabrics.
* Learn proper installation of the invisible, lapped and centered zipper with our
"Baby, Its Only A Zipper" session.

* The Simplicity of Skirt Alterations
2.0 hours of instruction - learn to alter a skirt and save!
Must bring skirt to class. The class will focus on waistband alterations only.

"That's Sew YOU" Sewing Camp
Ages 9-14
The use of a sewing machine is included in the cost. 9am-2pm
daily of Sewing Fun in a camp like setting. Our “That’s SEW You”
camp session has an emphasis on Fashion and the Art of Sewing.
Our Student Fashionistas create and design several projects themselves.
Session runs for ONE WEEK: Monday—Friday.
Stay tuned for our “Mini Camp” sessions too...they are just right for
the one day that school is closed!

Sewing for Home Schoolers: (Workshop Series)
Ages 8-12 and 13-17yrs only
Students will work on projects that provide basic sewing level one skill sets.
Each student will receive home work assignments and assessments that will relate to STEM and STEAM.
Our Quarterly Class Syllabus will provide the additional reinforvement
for children in the areas of coordination, cognitive and organizational skills.
They will leave the workshop with a a new and/or improved life skill of sewing.
